Hello neighbors,
Please see the list of events planned for the month of May as well as descriptions/requests needed. Direct any questions or comments to me at govgrantsocial@gmail.com or send a text to 803-397-5682. I am always open to new event ideas and workshops to teach at the clubhouse, so if you have a special talent you would like to teach your neighbors, let me know and we can set that up. Thanks, and looking forward to a month of fun in Governor’s Grant!

Prior to each of the events listed above, an announcement will be emailed and posted to the Facebook Sharing page. In order to prepare, some additional details are listed below:
- Teen Nights at the Clubhouse: Due to the number of requests for activities for teens in the neighborhood, we will test drive this new event three times this month. These events will be drop-ins for teens ages 13-18 and will include food, movies, games, dances, etc. In order to allow these events to be safe and to run smoothly, we will need 2-3 adults who can help chaperone each event. We currently have the first one covered, but will need to start getting an idea of who else can help. Also, if you have a teen or are a teen who would like to help with the planning of these events, please reach out because these events are for you and should include your input. This is a great opportunity for neighborhood teens to hang out in a safe environment and utilize our clubhouse in a different way. If these events are successful, we can plan them throughout the year. Email or text me to volunteer or help plan.
- GG celebrates our high school and college graduates: If you have a graduate this year or your neighbor is, please send me their name, school, and address so they will be included in our celebration week.
Looking ahead: Please message me if you are interested in leading our 4th of July celebration or any other events or workshops through the summer. Out of the box thinking is truly appreciated and encouraged.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this information and do not hesitate to reach out!
